Power Of Attorney

Due to the recent outbreak of the Corona Virus, Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Birmingham UK is offering strict appointment-based service and postal service with effect from 5 January 2022. Appointment can be booked only for very urgent and compelling reasons following the link:

Persons with prior appointments should be minimum double vaccinated (if not otherwise exempted) and should have negative Lateral Flow Test results uploaded in the NHS website within 24 hours of the appointment. Masks are mandatory for all to receive any service from the Assistant High Commission

While we know this is disappointing, we hope you can understand the steps we are taking to help keep our service seekers and staff safe.

General Guidelines-

  • Please bring the appointment confirmation (Digital/ Print out)

  • Applicants who arrive too early for their appointment will have to wait outside until their appointment time. Applicants who arrive past the hour of their appointment will need to get a new appointment through the online appointment system;

  • Body temperature should not be higher than 37.5°C;

 

In order to maintain safety and social distancing, only one (1) applicant with an appointment at a time will be allowed inside the premise except specially capable and accompanying minors.

Applicants living in the MIDLANDS & SOUTH WALES can book appointment power of attorney to the Assistant High Commission for the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Birmingham. 

Applicants from other areas are requested to apply in their closest High Commissoin (ie. LONDON & MANCHESTER).

 

 

Requirements:

  • 2(two) sets of unsigned Power of Attorney document (must be completed as per the prescribed format. CLICK HERE for Bangla or CLICK HERE for English sample of the formant.

 

  • Valid Bangladesh passport or valid passport of any other country having NVR stamp/sticker on it (Original and photocopy of information pages and NVR; only photocopy is not acceptable; of all power grantors)

 

  • Two recent passport-size photographs of each person party to the document (colour photographs against white background)

 

  • Photocopy of the Land Deed/CS-RS Paper/Porcha

 

  • Proof of address in the UK (of all power grantors)

 

  • Photo ID of the power recipient (Photocopy of Bangladesh Passport / National ID Card / Driving License)

 

  • Photocopy of the Succession certificate (Warishnama) / Certificate of Inheritance (if the grantors are successor of the property)

 

  • Fee (non-refundable): £40 (for 2 sets; debit card only)

 

Please note: All grantors must sign in front of the assigned official of the Mission. The two sets of the document must be attested by MOFA, Dhaka within 2 months from the date of signing at the Assistant High Commission.


 Please provide a prepaid self-addressed special delivery envelope if you want to receive your documents by post. 

* Please note: Authority may ask for further documents if necessary.

 * Applicants must provide a copy of all the supporting documents along with the original. The mission will keep the photocopy and return the original one.
