Power Of Attorney
In compliance with Nationwide Lockdown the Assistant High Commission(AHC) in Birmingham temporarily suspends providing over-the-counter services with effect from 04 January 2021(Monday).
However, the AHC will remain open and answer your queries over telephone.
We shall be providing following services by post only:
# No Visa Required(NVR)
# Passport Re-issue (only if change of photo or taking fingerprints is not required)
# Attestation (not Power of Attorney)
Following services, for which phisical presence is required, will remain suspended until the situation improves:
# New Passport (if the current passport is hand-written/applicant is below 20 and change of photo is required/lost passport)
# Power of Attorney( Or of this kind, for which physical presence of the applicant(s) in the Mission is required)

Requirements:

Duly filled in application form

2(two) sets of unsigned Power of Attorney document (must be completed as per the prescribed format. CLICK HERE for Bangla or CLICK HERE for English sample of the formant.

Valid Bangladesh passport or valid passport of any other country having NVR stamp/sticker on it (Original and photocopy of information pages and NVR; only photocopy is not acceptable; of all power grantors)

Two recent passport-size photographs of each person party to the document (colour photographs against white background)

Photocopy of the Land Deed/CS-RS Paper/Porcha

Proof of address in the UK (of all power grantors)

Photo ID of the power recipient (Photocopy of Bangladesh Passport / National ID Card / Driving License)

Photocopy of the Succession certificate (Warishnama) / Certificate of Inheritance (if the grantors are successor of the property)

Fee (non-refundable): £40 (for 2 sets; debit card only)
Please note: All grantors must sign in front of the assigned official of the Mission. The two sets of the document must be attested by MOFA, Dhaka within 2 months from the date of signing at the Assistant High Commission.
