Power Of Attorney

Applicants living in the MIDLANDS & SOUTH WALES can book an appointment power of attorney to the Assistant High Commission for the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Birmingham. Applicants from other areas are requested to apply in their closest High Commission (ie. LONDON & MANCHESTER).



Power of Attorney should be processed in accordance with the laid down rules stated in ‘The Power of Attorney Act-2015’. Please click here for ‘The Power of Attorney Act-2015’.


  • 2(two) sets of unsigned Power of Attorney document (must be completed as per the prescribed format. CLICK HERE for Bangla or CLICK HERE for the English sample of the formant.


  • Valid Bangladesh passport or valid passport of any other country having NVR stamp/sticker on it (Original and photocopy of information pages and NVR of all power grantors)


  • Two recent passport-size photographs of each person party to the document (colour photographs against a white background)


  • Photocopy of the Land Deed/CS-RS Paper/Porcha


  • Proof of address in the UK (of all power grantors)


  • Photo ID of the power recipient (Photocopy of Bangladesh Passport / National ID Card / Driving License)


  • Photocopy of the Succession certificate (Warishnama) / Certificate of Inheritance (if the grantors are successors of the property)


  • Fee (non-refundable): £40 (for 2 sets; debit card only)


Please note: All grantors must sign in front of the assigned official of the Mission. The two sets of the document must be attested by MOFA, Dhaka within 2 months from the date of signing at the Assistant High Commission.

 Please provide a prepaid self-addressed special delivery envelope if you want to receive your documents by post.

*Both original and one copy of the application along with all supporting documents are to be submitted. After verification, originals will be returned and copies shall be kept in the mission for future record.
