BIRTH REGISTRATION

To get a Bangladesh Machine Readable Passport for the first time someone needs to have a Birth Registration Certificate. Birth Registration is done only once for a person. To apply for a Birth Registration Certificate please follow the Link:

* To complete the application form properly, the applicant must put their address in Bangladesh as a permanent address.

 After the submission of the application online, please bring the following documents to the Mission:

 

  1. Printed and signed application form.

  2. A recent passport-size colour photograph.

  3. Original handwritten Bangladesh Passport.

  4. Copies of the applicant’s parent’s Bangladesh birth certificate.

  5. Proof of address is in the UK.

 

If the applicant was not born in Bangladesh and does not have a Bangladesh Passport, should bring the following documents to the Mission after submitting the application online:

 

  1. Printed and signed application form.

  2. A recent passport-size photograph.

  3. A copy of the full version birth certificate issued by the relevant authority having the applicant's parent’s name on it.

  4. Copies of the applicant’s parent's Bangladesh birth certificate.

  5. Applicant’s parent’s Bangladesh passport.

 

Fees: £4.00. (Debit card by telephone or postal order payable to Bangladesh High Commission Birmingham).

*Additional documents may be required. Mission reserves the right to seek supplements as and when required.

 

*Both the original and one copy of the application along with all supporting documents are to be submitted. After verification, originals will be returned and copies shall be kept in the mission for future records.
